ABOUT

3715091-cigarette-isolated-against-white

Our environmental equipment works permanently on most organic odors.  Cigarettes, cooking odor, or pets (requires physical evaluation). The combination of ozone technology coupled with ions flooding the atmosphere in the home changes the chemical composition of the odor molecules making them inert.  The odor can't return unless the source of the odor returns.
We recommend that you use this service once the offending odor has been removed -- such as the smoker moving out of the home.  Homes over 3000 square feet will be quoted separately but are usually only $200 - $400 more depending upon the configuration of the home.
Our service does not require a pre-inspection. Our equipment is placed and removed by our trained technicians.  This is not a chemical deodorizer.  The technology is similar to that which fire restoration companies use in their "clean rooms" to move smoke odor from furnishings and clothing.  The odors are neutralized with this technology.

FAQ

1.  Can we be in the home during the treatment?

A:  No.  The home needs to be free of people and pets.  Furnishings and clothing if they are saturated with smoke, we would recommend waiting until the home is vacant to do our service.

2.  Should we paint over the smoke before Stink Free House comes?

Please -- No!  Smoke leeches through paint, primer, and sealers.  The end result is a much longer treatment time from us, and potentially a greater cost.

3.  How long does the process take?

A:  6 to 9 days depending upon the severity of the odor.  You do not have to pay more for the length of time.  Its all part of our flat fee of $495.

4.  What happens after the treatment is over?

A:  When we remove the equipment we open windows and leave any ceiling fans running.  The goal is to air the house out as quickly as possible.  Usually by the next morning, the house is aired out and ready to go.  In the hot summer months we do not open the house, but let the house air out on its own.  It can take a day or so longer, but does not affect the overall result.

5.  Will the smoke odor return?

A:  If the source of the odor has been eliminated (such as the smoker no longer living in the home), this process works to permanently eliminate the odor.  The molecules of the smoke odor are permanently changed to become inert.  The odor can not return or leach through the walls.  If you paint over the walls in a smoke-odor filled home, the odor will eventually leach through the paint and return.  Our environmental process works to eliminate the odor once and for all.

6.  What if the treatment does not work and we still smell smoke?

A:   We will bring the equipment back to re-treat the home if this unlikely event occurs, at no cost to you.  We know that you want the odor removed, and we will work to make sure you are satisfied.

7.  Why can't we be in the home during the treatment, is this safe?

A:  Large amounts of ozone are being distributed throughout your home on a continual basis throughout the entire treatment.  Ozone exists in the atmosphere naturally, but the concentrations we use by bringing the "clean room" to you are not safe for people or pets.  Ozone degrades very quickly, and this is why once the treatment is finished, and the home is aired out, it is safe for you to occupy.

Guarantee:
We guarantee that the odor will be removed from your home or we will give you your money back (less any trip charges, if applicable).  The guarantee only applies if the original source of the odor has been eliminated.  If the smoker still lives in the home and only smokes outside, we can not guarantee the service, as the smoke odor is carried through clothing and skin.  You must notify us within 30 days of the date we finish the treatment in order to have your home re-treated and reinspected by our trained technicians.

Note:  If the smoker is still living in the home, we recommend waiting until close of escrow and we can treat prior to the new owners taking possession.
